Brooklyn
A pisces mama in her element.
The day started off misty, but the sun quickly came out for Brooklyn, Xavier and their soon-to-be Luka! To me, the Oregon coast is one of the most spiritual places, so it made sense to shoot this monumental milestone here. Brooklyn was beaming with joy, making her essence even easier to capture. And they were not afraid to get down and dirty!
The Journey into Motherhood
Although we doubled it as a couples shoot, I really wanted to focus on capturing portraits of Brooklyn during this time. Pregnancy is one of the most astonishing things to me. It is something cis women have gone through since the dawn of time - centuries and millenniums of unwavering strength. To be able to grow and carry life is a bond that only the mother can understand. And so to capture one’s first journey into motherhood is something I never take lightly.
